Stepping Stone Pre School is a registered charity, which
means we can raise funds for our school from the general
public and be able to apply for grants that would not be
available to private groups.
At Stepping Stone the income from fees is used to pay the
salaries and the sundries which is things like the cleaning
and stationery, items that we need to run the school but
do not directly benefit the children.
Everything else we need, art and craft, play equipment and
furniture need to be funded by grants or fundraising events.
The committee work hard to find grants whenever they can
but fundraising is necessary, not just in our school, but
as your children move through the education system you will
find all schools now have to do fundraising.
During the last few years we have cut back on the number
of events we do and now stick to a few events that if we
all help in some way will be very successful.

| November craft fair |
| Our very successful craft fair is held once a year. We ask
you to provide cakes and other small items for the school stalls.
We also have a tombola stall and always need items for this
so if have any unwanted gifts these can be donated to the school
all year long. Help will be needed on the day but most of all
we want you to come along on the day with your families –
people though the door keeps the stall holders happy and wanting
to come back next time!
